Happy New Week!

We have another 39 weeks; so is it possible something could be built in that time? I believe so.

Reflections on the past week

What a busy week! From girl scouts, boy scouts, chorus practice, Winnie the Pooh rehearsals, client calls, and everything else, everyone needs at least a nap for 63 hours.😫 Seriously. Friends had babies, first birthday parties for their kids, I'm coming up on 10 years as a parent! It's a lot!

Here's the week roundup in pictures:

Around the internet

Too much is happening on the internet so I'm sure you've seen it. Here's what I thought was quite intriguing, 2 reads:

Podcasts

  • Koala Moon gets all the play at my house, EVERY NIGHT so might as well plug them here
  • Trevor Noah keeps coming through with excellently produced podcasts and the guests and top-notch.
  • There's more - I'll share those next issue. What are your favorite podcasts recently that you can share?

What’s Coming Up Next

  • Emani's birthday 🎂 🎈
  • Boy scouts camp for Zeke
  • Half day at school
  • Spring is here! ⚽⚾🏀
  • NSBE conference planning meeting review
  • STEM Education Advocacy day at the Capitol
  • iMAGINE STEAM Festival
  • And so much more........

If I missed it, I'm sure life will remind me of it.

Tip for the week

Sometimes the most transformational part is when and adult says: "That's a really cool ideas. Tell me more."

We don't need superheroes - we need engaged neighbors, curious adults and supportive champions.

Quote of the week

Author George Bernard Shaw reminds that being flexible can benefit us in the short and long-term. However, if you're rigid, and stuck in your ways, you might have it a bit harder 😫:

Those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.

3 Ways Everyday People Can Empower Youth Through STEAM and Entrepreneurship We often talk about innovation, the future of work, and preparing young people to lead—but what does that look like in action? For too many students, especially those in underserved communities, engaging with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and Entrepreneurship remains out of reach. The barriers aren’t always about ability or interest. They’re about access, confidence, and connection. Many...

The Cycle of Stuckness You know the feeling. You set a big goal—finally getting in shape, launching your dream project, improving your productivity, or maybe just getting your life together. At first, you’re fired up. You make a plan, maybe even buy a fancy planner or download an app. You feel unstoppable. Then… reality happens. A few days in, motivation starts to fade. A missed deadline, a tough day, an unexpected distraction—and suddenly, you’re off track. You tell yourself you’ll get back...

Happy Valentine’s Day! Whether you’re single, in a relationship, engaged, or somewhere in between, I hope today is filled with love, joy, and connection! ❤️ In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, I want to share a little love story of mine—not about a person, but about my passion for inspiring young minds through STEAM+E learning. 🚀✨ How I Fell in Love with STEAM+E Education It all started when I saw a group of young students struggling to stay engaged in traditional learning. They were curious,...
